Here at Unpackaged Eco, we use zero-waste or circular packaging, which means that all packaging is either package-free, compostable, or reusable. We accept back all our packaging back from customers, including compostable paper bags or tags, to compost in-house or to clean and re-use. There are some items such as soap pumps and caps which can’t be re-used due to hygiene reasons, in these cases we collect these items and channel them to the appropriate facility for recycling.
We believe in supporting local business and reducing grocery miles where possible. Our Unpackaged range of cleaning and soap products are all made in Melbourne, Australia. Certain household items in our range, such as mesh produce bags and silicone wraps, are made in China.
We currently deliver to selected postcodes within 5-7km of Melbourne, if you are not within our serviced area but would like to be, please drop us a line at email@example.com and we’ll see what we can do to include you in our serviced area.
We charge a fully refundable container deposit with selected items which need to be delivered in returnable packaging, the amount varies according to the container and is listed in the product description. To return your containers, simply give your containers a quick scrape and rinse, then leave at your doorstep before your next delivery. Alternatively, you can drop it off at one of our partnering store locations with your next visit. Every container has a unique QR code – please do what you can to preserve this tag as it is our way of recording the journey and history of a container. Once we have collected back your container, you can expect to receive a refund of your deposit on your card or Paypal (depending on which payment method you chose) within 3-5 business days. If you have not received your refund as expected, please notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No, you don’t have to be! On the day of your delivery you will receive an email or text from us to confirm if (1) you’ll be home to receive your delivery (2) you’d like us to leave your delivery in a safe place, or (3) you would like to reschedule your delivery window. If you aren’t home we will leave your items in a safe place while you travel home. Please note that once items are delivered, it is your responsibility to ensure it is not damaged, spoilt or stolen due to it being left outside. To avoid this situation, you can leave us a customer note when checking out of your store to let us know where you would like us to leave the delivery.
